An important part of dewatering is flow measurement and monitoring of groundwater levels and the impact on the environment.
Optimization of the groundwater level
Monitoring gauges will be installed in the excavation and in the area of the drawdown funnel to monitor the groundwater level. A zero measurement will be taken prior to commissioning of the dewatering system. Thereafter, the groundwater level is measured daily during pumping operations and the specified limits are monitored.
Data logger
We use data loggers for telemetric (remote) measurement, monitoring and recording of groundwater levels. The measurements/data can be sent to our online monitoring program a maximum of 1x per minute. A programmed alarm function with signal and limit values allows timely intervention in case of exceedances.
Flow measurement
For a groundwater extraction, a water-legal permit is issued by the water authorities. This permit contains conditions, such as the measurement and documentation of the groundwater flow rates. These data are determined with the help of our digital water meters.
