Deep well

Deep well drilling

Well dewatering is used for large and deep excavations. It is used for construction projects with a large groundwater inflow and highly permeable, gravelly soils. A deep well consists of a drilled well with a submersible motor pump.

Drilling techniques:

  • Suction well
  • Cased borehole
  • Flush drilling
  • Air drilling
  • Auger drilling

Our systems

Vacuum well

In this method, a vacuum generator is used to create a negative pressure in the well, thus achieving the inflow of groundwater to the well. The groundwater is then pumped out of the well by the submersible motor pump. This system is mainly used in cohesive soils.

Gravity well

In this method, a submersible motor pump is installed in the well. The groundwater flows to the well by gravity. The groundwater is pumped out of the well via the submersible motor pump. This system is used for non-cohesive soils.

Expansion water drainage

In a strongly water-bearing layer, the aquifer is depressurized with the help of the boreholes. The drilled cohesive layer is sealed with a clay seal. By relieving the groundwater pressure, the risk of hydraulic fracturing is virtually eliminated.
